Kateřina Jandáčková in her diploma thesis THE LIFE OF IMPULSES, The Hidden Role of Coincidence and Intuition in a Creative Process examinates the phenomenon of intuition through her own experience. She percieves intuition as something that helps her to capture and to preserve all the external and internal random impulses that originate during collecting of material and searching for a theme for prepared production, or during rehearsals. Each chapter has a title of one of her own seven productions. In those chapters the author of this thesis reflects her previous knowledge and conclusions. Also she reflects certain problems conected with this theme that she dealt with during rehearsals. In the end she finds common thematic link that connects all her productions up to date and which also responds with her social opinion.

CONTEMPORARY PLACEMENT OF A STAGE DESIGNERIN DEVISING THEATRE

The main topic of this piece is the placement of a stage designer in devising theatre.
At first there is a short characteristic of the devising methods. Then there is illustrated
the work of one German group which is dealing with the method of documentary
theatre. As a following topic you can find the work of one Czech group which is using
the laboratory approach in theatre. Thanks this approach their work is still on the
edge between theatre, research and performance. At the end I listed my tree projects
in which we used the method of devising theatre. I am reflecting the process of
preparation as well as the process of creating, its result and of course the placement
of the stage designer.

SOLO IMPROVISATION

This paper examines the phenomenon of solo improvisation in the context of theatre sports. It includes the method of improvised story among the other existing disciplines of solo improvisation. The work maps the author’s journey and a year experience with solo improvisation and in the conclusion sumps up his experience and provides practical advices to potential solo improvisers. The work also includes interviews with people that do disciplines of solo improvisations to show different approaches of this particular discipline.

Our/my journey to BodyVoiceBand

The subject of this thesis is the analysis of studies of the graduates of drama2013/2014 at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Pragueunder the guidance of teachers MgA. Jaroslava Šiktancová Ph.D., MgA. LukášHlavica and doc. Marie Málková. I am describing the methods of our dramatictraining, which formed the basis for further joint work leading to the creation ofthe company BodyVoiceBand. My thesis describes the process chronologicallyfrom the very beginning of the study to the birth of the performance Vojna (TheWar), which we already prepared under the heading of BodyVoiceBand.I divided the thesis into three parts. In the first one I deal with the workshops ofFarma v jeskyni (Farm in a Cave), which were decisive for all our future work, forboth the ensemble, and the individuals. I described what kind of training wewent through during the workshops and the way it prepared us for furtherstudies. The second part deals with the study at the faculty. It is divided intosubheads according to the phenomena we were dealing with and which are thestarting point for a certain kind of work, thanks to which the bodyBodyVloiceBand started to shape. The third part is devoted to the production ofVojna /War, which is the result of our efforts, and which is the starting point ofthe formation of BodyVoiceBand. I focused on the way and course of preparingthe production.

ME AS AN ACTOR AFTER WORKSHOP SYSTEM

This thesis has two main goals which it wants to achieve and explore. First one is to make an encyclopedia of different workshops that we have passed during our time of studies at school. It should serve me as a usefull book in the future years and help me howremember the things we have done at school. The second big goal is that it is trying to find out if the new, workshop - oriented educational system, has trully created an actor out of me, and most important, what kind of an actor I became finishing the school.

This diploma thesis named Movements of doubts has no academic ambition.
It's only a reflection and summary of authors personal thoughts and themes
which has very close connection with doubts. Doubts are valuable and
necesarry for those who study acting. There would be no performing arts
without the doubts. Doubts has an assurance function. Doubts keep the artist
on the right track while creating a piece. This work had been created from
emerging doubts and thats why it contradicts itself in so many ways!

ACTOR AND IMPROVISATION

The subject of this thesis is to assess a theatrical improvisation and to
present it from many different points of view. It contains a
cmprehensive description of improvisation and it is also presented as a
specific way of thinking and acting. An The act of dramatical
improvisation is also shown as one of the posibilities how to invent a
concrete dramatic character.
It also analyze some of its components which includes fear,
happyness, the present moment etc.
Eventually the author elaborates the issue subjectively. Therefore,
there are mainly reflected and submitted author's experiences and
thoughts.
